Learning and caring

The Church exists to help people to grow and learn as Christians, through mutual support and care.

Ladies Monday Morning Prayers

All are welcome. We meet in various homes in turn on an informal basis from 10.30 to 12.00. We normally start with a Tea/Coffee and general chat. We make a list of what or who needs our prayers then together we pray for those People and or Countries who need our prayers.

Ladies Monday evening Bible Study

Ladies meet for Bible Study on Monday evenings in someone’s home. Currently we are studying the book of Romans, using a video with commentary by Andrew Ollerton but at other times we may read a book of the Bible or choose a topic and discuss among ourselves.  There is always something to learn and to challenge us.

Men’s Thursday evening Bible Study

The men’s Bible Study group usually meets once a week in a member’s home. We chat about issues that affect us, our families and Church. We pray together and look at a book of the Bible or Bible theme. Usually over a period of weeks, using published study material. In our last study, we looked at the Acts of the Apostles using a Scripture Union study book. We are currently using a Bible Society video study of Romans, working in tandem with the women’s group. .

Pastoral care

As part of the Ministry of our Church we have an elected group of members who act as Pastoral Link People to small groups of people within our wider Congregation.

In order to keep in communication and care for one another, the Pastoral Link People follow up on absences and bring to the attention of The Pastoral Coordinator and Minister any need for a phone call/ prayer /or visit.
